Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO

protected designation of origin

In the land between Emilia-Romagna, Marche, and Tuscany

The story of Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO begins in the Sasso Simone and Simoncello Natural Park, among the green hills of Montefeltro. It is in the heart of the namesake village of Carpegna, in a territory stretching across the three central Italian regions of Emilia-Romagna, Marche, and Tuscany, where the only production facility is located. Here, the history of Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO has its roots, shaped by ancient traditions and pork refining techniques dating back to the 1400s. Day after day, Carpegna DOP Ham is hand-processed, while it matures according to the ancient traditions of these lands, handed down from generation to generation and proudly preserved from the Middle Ages to today.
